 About Us
Hampshire Dyslexia Association (HDA)
is a registered charity covering the county of Hampshire,
including the unitary authorities of Southampton and
Portsmouth.
It
is an organisation which aims to increase awareness of
dyslexia in all areas of the community. Working with the Local
Education authority, schools, colleges and associated agencies
in Hampshire HDA aims to continue the drive for dyslexia
friendly and inclusive education.
Adults are becoming increasingly aware
of the benefits of identification of dyslexia and the support
available in education and the workplace. HDA is actively
working with local uniformed services and employers to develop
dyslexia friendly policies and procedures.
Our
members include parents, adults with dyslexia, teachers ,
psychologists and other professionals interested in the
support of anyone with dyslexia or other specific learning
difficulties and the services and support we offer are growing
steadily across the county.
