ANGELA HIGGS
Chair
I am a Specialist Teacher/Assessor and have had a private practice for a number of years. Chair of South Hants PATOSS for 8 years until about 5 years ago, I look forward to the post of Chair of HDA as an exciting challenge.
JANE GAUDIE
Vice Chair
Jane is a Specialist Teacher and was Principal of Chiltern Tutorial for many years. She has been persuaded to remain on the Committee as Vice Chair.
CLAIRE OLIVER

I am currently at university re-training to become a teacher. I was a police officer for and in that time I set up the Dyslexia Assessor Group within Hampshire Constabulary. I am a qualified Workplace Assessor.

JAN CUERDEN

Having worked as a teacher across the age ranges with the young and not quite so young with a variety of needs for over twenty years, I now assess for SPLDs.
SUE MCKENNA
Treasurer
Sue has worked as a Specialist Teacher in Higher Education for some years, did a marathon stint as Chair of HDA for 10 years and can’t keep away. She is now Treasurer.

Mavis has been a Special Needs Tutor and Author for a number of years. Currently she advises on Self-esteem and reading and spelling with dyslexic students

Helen is a Specialist Teacher Assessor, Principal of Test Valley Tutors with expertise in Maths Study Skills and Dyslexic EAL

Jacky Gurney B.Ed Dip.RSA SpLD is Editor of the HDA newsletter. (Ideas and articles welcome). Jacky runs the School Skills Club. She enjoys tutoring children aged 3-11 in English.
CHERON MACDONALD
Committee Member
Cheron is a Secondary SENCO, Specialist teacher and Author. She has expertise in primary and secondary Dyslexia.
